US Friends of Chalmers celebrated Club Emil in Silicon Valley and TGIT (Thank God I’m Thirsty) in San Diego May 4!
10 of us met at the home of Per Svedlund in San Diego and in addition to having great conversations about the ins and outs of being a Chalmerist in California we also participated in the World Premiere of the US Friends of Chalmers California Choir where we in San Diego – thanks to the magic technology of the iPhone – jointly with Club Emil in Silicon Valley sang some of the most important songs in the life of a Chalmerist! It was absolutely mind-blowingly beautiful!
In San Diego we also celebrated the evening of the Sinking of the Mayo – the commemoration of the very sad event where a ship fully loaded with mayo sank outside of the California Coast, all narrated by our Chapter Historian Bo Hedfors. Tacos, Carne Asada, Tequila, and Guacamole helped make the event.
